Christmas Traditions
ByAs my wife Rhonda and I were heading into the week before Christmas, we began to think about what we were spending our time on as a family, not just the cleaning and getting ready for all the people coming to our home, but what were we putting into our minds… the TV, the internet, the wii, facebook, texting and on and on and on. So Rhonda called a fast, a media fast. We were going to stop all forms of media and just watch Christmas programs together in the evening, It’s a wonderful life, Frosty the snow man, Charlie Brown Christmas… even with all the other activities, it opened up a lot of time just to talk, and the kids started playing games together. We have heard a lot of laughing and noise coming from up stairs. We have a few days to go and it looks like we will be watching “The Nativity”, man what a story, just the greatest story ever told.
Join with us and lets turn off all the stuff in our lives that distract us from our purpose; relationships with each other and with the King of Kings. What are some of your Family’s Christmas traditions?
